Bismillah ana nebda n ‘id ma sar :

Sidna Yosef m ‘a khoto b ‘asra Kan gales m‘a bohf-ed-dar Be-llil u b-en-nhar idell gher iqra.

Wahd en-nhar qal-l-boh soft ‘atbar Soft hdaz d-en-zom u-se-ms u-l-gemra Kellhom ka ibaVo-liya twel la- ‘mar.

Qal lo boh izzak a bni mell-hedra.

Hin sem ‘oh khoto kell wahd tgheyyar Qa lo bgha itselten ‘lina hadi l-imara Ma bqas menhom wahedfih ikhzar Qalo lain ghadi b-had-tsara.

Qada Yosef klamo ma rfed ghaya l-mnamo Hin kan frid ‘and ommo ‘azz menno ma kan A sidna ‘azz menno ma kan (bis)…

Traduction :

“ Au nom de Dieu, je vais vous conter ce qui est arrivé A notre Seigneur Joseph avec ses dix frères.

Joseph se tenait aux côtés de son père à la maison,

Se consacrant à l’étude jour et nuit.

Un jour, il dit à son père : Père ! J’ai vu un signe prodigieux J’ai vu onze étoiles, le soleil et la lune Qui se prosternaient devant moi.

Son père le tança : “Cesse de parler ainsi“ !

Lorsque ses frères eurent entendu cela,

Chacun d’eux se fâcha.

Ils dirent Il veut régner sur nous, c’est un signe ! “

Joseph finit de parler.

Et son père n’attacha pas d’importance à ce rêve.

Joseph était le fils unique de sa mère.

Il n’y avait pas de plus cher que lui… ”
